With the holidays approaching, there is nothing better than the scents to bring in the season. I love this time of year, and I love the holiday smells that come with it.
I have created a list of my favorite smells for the holidays. These also make great Christmas gifts as well.
First, I will share a little something with you that I use at home. I take orange peels, cinnamon, and cranberries and boil them in about a cup of water on low. I’m not sure what goes on in that little pot, but it makes the house smell AMAZING. It’s a must try!!
Yankee Candle Cinnamon – this candle really puts off a fabulous smell of cinnamon. The smell lasts and it also work well even if you don’t burn it.
Yankee Candle Pine – this smell is just like a fresh cut Christmas tree. It makes the house smell like a Christmas tree. lol. I love this smell because it blends well with the other holiday smells I have.
Yankee Candle Peppermint Bark – I am a huge fan of peppermint, mainly because it helps with my allergies. This candle smells even when not lit.
Cinnamon Broom – now this broom works great. Ladies and gents, this will be a broom you’ll never use for cleaning. LOL! You can use it for decoration by the fireplace. The fragrance of cinnamon and fall leap in the air. Although, I don’t think this last longer than 2 to 3 weeks. I usually have to swap it out in the middle of December.
Glade Wax Melts Holiday Collection – this collection is great if you have warmers in the house. This link is even cheaper than what’s in the stores. I use warmers over candles only because I leave them on when I leave my home. Candles should always be turned off when you leave.
Holiday Oils – I don’t use oils, but my mom does. She adds these oils in her warmer, and her home smells awesome for the holidays.
Potpurri – I am not sure if anyone still uses potpourri, but this holiday blend works well. I use this as a decorating piece. Remember to keep it away from little ones. I put this in a cute bowl to make a centerpiece or put in on the fire mantle.
Scentsy Sugar Cookie – scentsy has the best holiday waxes, the sugar cookie smells great. It makes your home smell like you’ve been in the kitchen baking cookies.
The holidays are my favorite time of year, its a great time to get together and spend more time with my family and friends. I enjoy this time of the season, because watching the happiness and joy everyone has makes me even happier.
Be blessed.
On a serious note I have been thinking of this a while ago, a few of my favorites here on this list….. such a helpful post
